Parks Victoria recently announced the completion of a covered walkway at Portarlington, designed by AW Maritime and constructed by PW Johnson Constructions. The walkway celebrates the area’s culture and surrounds and includes a 120-metre-long mural telling the stories of the local Wadawurrung Traditional Owners. Celebrating a sense of being on Wadawurrung Country, the designs capture stories of place, water and journey. 

Further improvements include widening of the pier approach which provides safer access from the foreshore to the ferry terminal, as well as improved access for commercial operators, recreational boaters, anglers, the local community and visitors.
