The Watermans Cove precinct was recently opened to the public by the NSW government as reported by The Sydney Morning Herald. The waterfront promenade featuring a pier and amphitheatre-shaped boardwalk curving around a new cove, is part of the $6 billion Barangaroo project. What was once a heavy-duty container wharf has now been transformed into a vibrant public space that has dramatically transformed Sydney’s harbour foreshore.
AW Maritime worked in collaboration with SMC Marine to complete the detailed design of the Barangaroo waterfront marine works including piling, precast concrete elements and modular aluminium deck units. Construction included the use of an innovative modular concept to deliver this high profile and architecturally significant project.
