Poralu Marine engaged AW Maritime to undertaken pile sizing and embedment requirements for berth fingers and walkways for a 136 berth marina based in Burnett Heads at Bundaberg, Queensland, Australia. The scope of pile design entailed the following:
• Assessment of the vessel sizes for each berth;
• Assessment of the environmental loading on each vessel and berth based on the relevant Australian Standards;
• Assessment of the loading on each individual pile;
• Size piles and determine embedment requirements.
