Oxenford Boat Ramp Upgrade
AW Maritime were engaged by SMC Marine to assist in the design of a boat ramp extension to upgrade the existing waterway access facilities at Oxenford, Gold Coast QLD. The boat ramp upgrades were completed adjacent to the existing two-lane facility. A floating pontoon and associated gangway structure were constructed upstream from the existing facility.
The works undertaken by AW Maritime included:
- Demolition of the existing recreational boat ramp structures shoulder
- Construction of a new larger boat ramp lane
- New asphalt pavement section to accommodate the approach to the new boat ramp lane
- Scour protection rock works in the vicinity of the pontoon gangway abutment
