Slope Stabilisation Design
AW Maritime were engaged by the Port of Melbourne (PoM) to undertake a slope stability assessment for a proposed tug berth extension. This also include a tug berth jetty extension. AWM were then engaged to undertake a concept analysis and prepare slope stabilisation concepts and prepare a preliminary design at the existing tug berth and proposed tug berth extension area at Short Road. The scope of work involved a stability analysis using the software Plaxis 2D based on geotechnical parameters of the subsurface conditions.
