AW Maritime were engaged to provide advice to client on a methodology for berthing dolphin testing at Station Pier in Port Melbourne, Victoria. Station Pier is Melbourne’s passenger gateway for cruise ships with typically 80+ ship visits during the season from November to April. AW Maritime assisted with preparing the methodology for the test, drawings confirming the dolphins to be tested, advice for taking measurements via load cells, establishing testing limits and also attended on site to witness the load tests. The tests involved at 40T Pull Test and a 100T Jacking Test.
