AW Maritime were engaged to design replacement Aids to Navigation for SYD39 and SYD47 which are both starboard lateral marks. The design was based on 25-year design life and we considered loading from dead loads, wave loads, wind loads, earthquake and vessel impact as part of our design. We also assessed the foundation conditions for the pile design to determine the embedment depth.
