Designing time-critical upgrades to the existing berthing and mooring infrastructure
AW Maritime completed the design of wharf upgrade works in Webb Dock to accommodate the arrival of the Sea Road Mersey II, the first coastal ship in Australia to use LNG fuel-and-power technology. Engaged by the Port of Melbourne and SeaRoad, AW Maritime was trusted with the task of designing time-critical upgrades to the existing berthing and mooring infrastructure including rehabilitation works, new fenders, and foundations for a new MoorMaster mooring unit. The works have allowed the Sea Road Mersey II, which is over 30m longer than previous design vessel, to safely use the berth.
